A national leader in the seismic analysis and design of bridges, TRC has been a key participant in developing the AASHTO seismic code. We also develop, sell, support and maintain multiple bridge engineering design software programs, including the notable WinSEISAB program.

A leader in the seismic analysis and design of bridges, TRC develops seismic solutions that help protect the full spectrum of small, medium and large-sized bridges, railroad grade separations, viaducts, movable bridges and water crossings from the next seismic event. Through such analysis methods as single-mode spectral, uniform load, multi-mode spectral and time-history, our experts analyze and model each structure, then incorporate the most appropriate components for that specific application which include such isolation strategies as Friction Pendulum or Lead-Core Rubber isolation bearings. Leveraging this expertise, TRC has been a key participant in developing the AASHTO Guide Specifications for LRFD Seismic Bridge Design since its initial release.

As an outgrowth of our respected seismic expertise, TRC has developed a variety of bridge design software programs for the practicing engineer. Our most notable seismic program, WinSEISAB (Seismic Analysis ofBridges), is regularly used by state agencies and respected bridge firms throughout the country. Another recent program, CAPP, conducts a quasi-static pushover analysis and is in conformance with AASHTO LRFD Seismic Guide Specifications.
