Regulatory Update   |   Jan 12th, 2016 Changes to Federal Rules and Standards Will Have Impact in 2016

Federal environmental, health, and safety rules, regulations, and standards governing companies operating in the US are constantly undergoing development, revisions, and improvements. Several of these changes could affect companies in 2016 in a broad range of market sectors, including industrial, oil and gas, transportation, power generation, utilities, and commercial.

To help our clients determine how the updated regulations and standards may apply to their businesses, TRC has prepared a Regulatory Update summarizing the rule changes and providing links to additional details to help plan for success.

Included in the Regulatory Update are rules, regulations, and standards proposed or finalized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), and other organizations; and primarily focused on:

  • Air Emissions, including Greenhouse Gases;
  • Water and Stormwater Discharges;
  • Solid and Hazardous Waste Disposal;
  • Hazardous Chemical Management;
  • Process Safety Management;
  • Occupational Health and Safety; and
  • Pipeline Safety.
