Older buildings may have PCB-containing materials present in and on their structure. While testing for PCBs in building materials is currently not required by any regulatory bodies, building owners should be aware of their potential presence. Assessment of suspect building materials should be made prior to any disruption of those materials to help ensure the safety of both the building occupants, as well as maintenance/construction workers.
