Duane Peters has over 21 years of experience providing stakeholder identification and outreach; environmental compliance; and permitting services for the energy and transportation infrastructure market. He has successfully developed and implemented numerous Public Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement strategies including establishing lines of communication with local, state, and federal elected officials, property owners, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and other interest groups for large, complex projects and programs. Duane is an avid public speaker and has presented on the topic of Stakeholder Engagement to the Southern Gas Association (SGA), International Right-of-Way Association (IRWA), marcus evens, Saul Ewing LLP, Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Professionals, and American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). Most recently, he facilitated a discussion on Pipeline Co-Location at the Joint Carnegie Mellon University/The Nature Conservancy Advancing the Next Generation of Environmental Practices for Shale Development. The audience included industry experts, regulatory decision makers, academia, and Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations. Duane has served on several task forces and workgroups including; the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) Pennsylvania Pipeline Infrastructure Task Force (PITF); PITF Pipeline Siting and Routing Work Group; PADEP Regional Roundtables on Pipeline Permitting; the PADEP Oil and Gas Stakeholder Group; ACEC Environmental Committee (Pennsylvania Chairman); and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) State Transportation Innovation Council.
