LOWELL, Mass. – TRC, a leader in engineering, environmental consulting and construction management services, is ranked No. 19 in Engineering News-Record’s annual list of the Top 500 design firms in the United States, cracking the Top 20 for the first time.
“Moving up four spots from last year is recognition of the hard work we’ve done to deliver on our aggressive growth strategy and shows the confidence that’s been placed in us by our robust, varied client base,” said TRC CEO Chris Vincze. “This is another strong step forward for TRC and reflects our employees’ steadfast focus on understanding the goals of our clients and embracing them as our own.”
ENR’s 2018 rankings are based on revenue from design services performed in 2017.
In addition to moving up in the overall rankings, TRC also climbed in the Power (No. 7) and Hazardous Waste (No. 8) sectors. The company also entered the Top 20 in the Industrial Process/Petroleum sector for the first time (No. 18) following the full integration of Willbros Professional Services, which it acquired in late 2015.
TRC went private in 2017 after being purchased by New Mountain Capital last June.
“This continued success reflects our belief that TRC is well on its way to becoming the most valuable consulting, engineering and construction management firm in the industry,” said Lars Johansson, managing director of New Mountain Capital.
TRC was also ranked No. 6 on ENR’s list of the Top 100 Pure Designers, up one spot from 2017.
