Top Projects of the Decade

In honor of our 40th Anniversary this past year, TRC launched the “Top Projects of the Decade Awards” to honor the outstanding people and projects that have contributed to TRC’s success over the company’s history. Nominations were submitted by TRC staff and reviewed by a judging panel comprised of senior management. Many outstanding projects were evaluated based on a range of criteria making for a very difficult judging process.

TRC is proud to celebrate the dedicated staff and clients involved in the projects listed below.

Projects

	Bay Bridge Temporary Bypass Structure Design/Sequencing TRC provided full design and construction support services for this temporary detour structure that will allow the east span of the bridge to be replaced without disruption to traffic and commuters.
	I-40 Mississippi River Bridge Seismic Retrofit Since 1992, TRC has supported the seismic evaluation and construction retrofit of this bridge linking West Memphis, Arkansas and Memphis, Tennessee. The structure is located at the edge of a major fault zone.
	I-405/I-605 HOV Connector TRC designed the widening of Interstate 405 to accommodate an additional HOV lane in each direction of a freeway segment that carries over 415,000 cars daily.
	Midwestern Manufacturing Facility Exit Strategy The accelerated demolition and remediation of this former 30 acre brass mill paved the way for a beneficial redevelopment project creating community jobs and more.
	NYSERDA's Multifamily Performance Program In 2007, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) selected the Multifamily Performance Program for recognition as an "Exemplary Program." In addition, TRC won the Environmental Business Journal's 2008 Business Achievement Award for the management of the Multifamily Performance Program.
	PCB Superfund Cleanup (Exit Strategy) TRC’s investment in wetlands mitigation bank creates financial bridge to Exit Strategy mitigating Client’s PCB Superfund cleanup obligations and monetizing an idle property
	Phoenix Lateral Pipeline Cultural Resources Compliance TRC supported the environmental compliance needs of this project by providing archaeological services that resulted in major findings about the Hohokam culture in Arizona.
	Portland Bangor Waste Oil Site Facility- Exit Strategy This was the first reported liability transfer from a large group of potentially responsible parties to an independent entity.
	Saco Valley Substation Upgrade TRC supported this project to improve the reliability of electricity in northern New England by providing design, construction oversight and commissioning services for the installation and protection of a Phase Shifting Transformer.
